:sprint High Wind Warning for the Avon Area Today! I wonder if Stars and Stripes will ride it out at Lake Erie or at the nest.

Both headed out at 7:20am

From Eagleholic:
Sneak Peak? New Eagle cam soon in Ohio?
November 30, 2015 — bald eagle, eaglecam, eagleholic, nature, raptors, Sandy Ridge; Ohio

There’s a question mark on that sneak peak headline because I found a live video feed called Sandy Ridge eagle cam and then on Facebook found the Lorain County Metro Parks Ohio page where they mention that they are working on getting an eagle cam up and running. That was a couple of months ago – they were installing solar panels, but they haven’t officially announced that the cam is up and running and I didn’t find a pic on their site, so I’m connecting the dots between the feed and the Facebook page. I haven’t been able to verify, but if we are lucky, it looks like we may have a new cam to watch soon! Here is a link to their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/supportmetroparks I’m not providing the link to the cam feed since it looks like they may not be quite ready yet for the full clan of eagleholics descending on them quite yet LOL. If anyone has more information, I’d love to know more about the plans for this cam!

Cool Info Gigi!! Nothing to add about cam, just the nest area. I go to this park occasionally too! The nest is really far across the lake, from the walking trail, no electric available, unless the park can use it at the housing allotment built just outside the park, and so, hope the solar panel system works out!!
Attached are some Google earth pics of Sandy Ridge nest and Redwood Elementary (Avon Lake) nest

Thanks for the perspective, Matrix! What is the dark area adjacent to the Sandy Ridge nest?

2015 Raptor Resource Project Banding report Eagles begin on page 23 of report. Great photos included in report.
This includes Wisconsin along with Minnesota and Iowa. Nice tribute to Bob Anderson

"Eagle Valley
We worked with Brett Mandernack, the Kohler Foundation, and the US Fish and Wildlife Service to install an
eagle cam at a nest on an island in the Mississippi river, at Eagle Valley. Unfortunately, the eagles failed to nest
there this year, although Brett does not believe they nested anywhere else. While the site is having camera
trouble now, adult, sub-adult, and juvenile eagles were all spotted in and around the nest tree this fall. Brett and
his crew are working to get the camera restored."

As of typeing this, the Follow Me button takes me to the cam listing on page one, then, clicking on the cam tab, of page one, brings up another duplicate page one.
