On the MRMC Facebook page they acknowledged the first egg at this site, and said the Banded male is “Donald” , no band number given. The female maybe the same as last year...however in the narrative from MRMC at the top of this thread, the writer thinks the female is banded, but in Beth’s picture I can’t tell?

Veolia- A single peregrine has been hanging around the box a lot today. Sometimes it seems excited as if it sees a potential mate....

:girlyes: Per Chicago Peregrine Program, and posted on Facebook by Carolyn Evans: Current female peregrine we are seeing at Veolia is a 2019 hatch from Chicago’s St. Mary site, named “Dana” , no band numbers given. Looking at the picture on face book, I’d say Black/blue 79W....Please correct me if I’m wrong.

:attention: Veolia- I did not see anyone on the live cam this morning, but when I checked the rewind, early this morning I saw an adult tiercel on the perch and shortly after “Dana”, the first year female came to the nestbox. I did not see any courting going on between the two..., and the meeting was very brief.

Veolia- the adult peregrine is on the cam now.. I’m wondering if it is a female and has driven Dana away? Hmmm- the cam operator just moved the cam and the adult falcon flew off.

I looked at the “ rewind” from this morning. At one point two peregrines jumped from the nestbox onto the ledge and flew off. Looks like Veolia will be having eggs before too long :loveheart:...Edit Later, at around 12:30 pm, Dana was quietly sitting on the nest ledge. Maybe she and “Rounder” have bonded.....
