thanks for the "hatch" announcement Beth. :flirty:

I have been cooking [making caramels] and only checking cams, etc occasionally. Taking a break from the stir stir stirring right now, but need to get back.

My specialty! I used to make them only at Christmas time, but now all through the year. Not difficult, but they have to be stirred constantly. Sometimes my arm gets tired so I take them off the heat for a minute and take a break, but I have to get back quickly so they do not begin to cool before they are finished cooking. Now they are done and in the pan cooling before I can cut them.
 So I am not totally off topic, Phoebe just returned to the nest! She is so lovely!!

I was just watching and one of the little ones positioned his back end up and pooped on the ledge of the nest. I was impressed that he knew to do that. Smart baby!!!

Video: Phoebe Says: Wake Up for Lunch!

Mick, in your video the babies awakened as soon as Mom arrived. In the one I recorded, she had to rouse them to eat. :)

Loved the video Mick. Interesting that they had to be awakened. Life must be good in that little nest!

beans, I had been watching for about 30 minutes and she fed them and fed them. In my last recording, which I didn't post, they were so full they wouldn't lift their heads to eat. She kept jostling them and finally the liquid from her beak dribbled over their little heads.

Your video is great. Really nice and clear; focused.
