More rain in CA yesterday but there were visits at WE and TH. :)

From the channel islands, we know that the female had a new male this season. However, eagle 01 has returned to the west end nest so there may be some conflict between 01 and the new younger male 51

I obviously missed all the excitement everywhere today ......... K01 is back!!!!!!!

Update .... Update!! K01 arrived on the nest today ... and then Wray joined him!!!

Right now ... K82 is enjoying an evening on her nest. She is still there as I type ... 10:29 P.M. EST

K-10 & K-26 have built a New home at Chinese Harbor, and if you liked the last one, this one is even better! As soon as the Link is posted I on another site, I will put it here for all of us to enjoy. They have built in another tree, which will offer some shade to our famous pair. I always felt so sorry for them panting, and shading their young from the sun with their wings. They also have another lovely view of the Ocean loaded with fresh Sashimi, this time, so they won't be too far at feeding time from their brood! Both K-10 & K026 have beautifully landscaped their nest. Wait till you see it, you will fall in love immediately with it as I did. Prime Real Estate.

I was happy to see this News as I was very concerned with the previous nest with the gaping hole in it.

It also goes to tell me that Eagles do have a brain, and realized the danger for their offspring. Occasionally err make that rarely, K-10 has returned to his old nest, but did not bring anything to repair it lately. I assume he realized it was futile, and I guess he needed to rest his wings after a long flight. The New nest is located just a few miles from the previous one.

Just tried to post some pictures of the nest, but am blocked now from doing that. Sorry folk's!

I caught Wray this evening but I was a little late to see Superman, who had just left.

And yesterday...

Been having a hard time getting the cam at Caltrans to work lately. Finally caught one home yesterday.

From what I surmised before I left that Chat Room a few days back, they are working on a New Cam now! They just have to be careful as to not disturb the Pelican Harbor pair K-10 & K-26. Lets keep our talons crossed they can get it erected without upsetting the Eagles.

I doubt I will post the Link as I refuse to go back to that Forum. So Pattio perhaps you can get that when it's available. If not I will miss this pair of birds terribly.

Hmm, what chat room were you in Cricket? I've always thought most folks on the CHIL forum were very nice. I'm sorry if you had a bad experience there.

Actually, today, K10 made 2 visits to his old home. :)
