Thanks Pattio! Interesting that the male visited his old home at Pelican Harbor.

PattyO it was the Forum that you mentioned. I have had several problems in the years I was there. I just got sick of their constantly complaining when I said something that they did not understand. So the Eagles lost out on my very generous Donations, and the people there may not realize it, but they lost out too. I'm surprised they verbally attack fellow Member's over and over again. Doesn't make for keeping people there being so wound up in their own little clique. Certainly turns people off to Donating, or even contributing to the State of Ca. by visiting and spending money. No thanks, I'll go to Harrisburg where people know how to treat another fellow human being, and practice, loving one another. This is my "Home". Ahh Home Sweet Home!

Susan, yes they are adorable and are called The Island Fox. I believe they are on the Endangered Species List. Dr. Peter Sharpe has one "Tachi" on Catalina Island that is unreleasable. There are others on Santa Cruz Island, and you can hear them barking on the Pelican Harbor Nest. Last years an Inland Fox cub climbed up to the nest, but the Eaglets let him know he was not welcome in their home, and he quickly scampered right back down.

Update ......

Quote:
Hello viewers. Keep an eye on the nest over the next week or so. The egg cup has taken shape, Liberty and Patriot have been observed in mating behaviors and if past years are any indication, we should expect an egg anytime in the next ten days.

AND .... you can now enlarge the cam full screen!!

More stick wrestling this morning....

Superman was just finishing up a meal he brought to Wray ... I missed her, she had flown off already. Looks like they've been busy today!! Lots of new sticks.

These three clips are from the The Chile Nest Observation Site.

I do hope they stay at the New site they just built, it's so beautiful, water close by and nice shade from the hot sun. Although I will miss this one, but I feel the Eaglets might fall through the bottom of the nest. I just want safety for all of them, and a successful Season without heartbreak.

Thank you for the vids Cricket! :) I'm having too busy a week to check in. Seeing the both adults there it's obvious how badly the nest has fallen apart. I hope they use the new one too for the chicks sake. It almost seems as if they have some internal instinct that makes them return to their original nest...even though they've built a new one. OR maybe it's just a territorial thing. Interesting to see.

Perhaps they always wanted a home by the shore, and another in Scorpion Canyon. A Summer home, and a Winter home.

I thought for sure they had abandoned the P.H. nest when K-10 would rarely arrive, but not do any nestoration's. Now they are bringing in fluff! The nest is falling apart from damage from the boys last year, the element's, other birds taking K-10's sticks, and the monsterous hole on the back wall. Not to mention the nest is sliding off the tree to the left! There is just too much against that home and I hope they realize that soon. I shudder to think what could happen when the Santa Anna Winds kick up. This pair loves to wind surf.

Could the IWS Crew have frightened them away when installing the cam?

The New nest at Chinese Harbor is lovely, and it's beautifully landscaped too! It had shelter, and a Sushi Bar that's a short flight away. Who could ask for anything more!

Our pair are really giving the IWS Team the run around.

At least they were seen Bonding so we will have some Eaglets hopefully. They just have to decide which nest to use. My bet is on the New one.

Update provided by the Chile Update Section Website.
