I made a video of the tumble I posted earlier and to flavor the pot added some flapping and a feeding. It all happened in the same 20 minutes.

Edit: to add,
Beth, just saw your capture- 2 peas in a pod!!

Oops Arles, looks like we recorded the same event - glad you caught it from the beginning! :-)

I'll go ahead and leave my video posted for the flapping which is extra colorful in the sun.

Mama, what's that in your beak?

Video: Phoebe Brings a Spider

Hummingbirds must have protein, so they eat soft insects and spiders. They also need nectar for energy. These small birds are amazing Insect-eating Machines!

All of these are wonderful!! I'm starting to think they like where they are, and have decided to stay there.

Arles, SGB and beans Thanks for the videos from yesterday. :P

I just got back from a meeting in Portland, OR. I left at 5:30 a.m. and thought for sure by the time I got back there would be an empty nest. I was so happy to see them still there and double-grateful that you didn't walk away and recorded today skygirlblue!!

Thank you everyone!!

 I am sure I saw one "liftoff" and then land on its siblings back earlier. It was adorable! I tried to get a picture, but my computer chose that very moment to freeze up on me. Darn! :comp I think tomorrow will be the day... :loveshow:
:bonnet: Mick, glad you are back!

I am shadowing you today SGB. The EXACT same feedings only I spliced them together...... :laugh

I read that Phoebe is building a new nest above, in the same rosebush. I think that explains why Bea and Jay keep looking up, watching her work.

Hi Gigi!
