The one that came in didn't have bands I wonder if it is the original female its kindda small and I can't see who the other one is

This worries me, too, but I do think they both left the box. The one who came back doesn't appear to have bands, although its possible I just didn't see them. I am also thinking that this is the original female & that maybe she just migrated for a short time & is back now.

Yes, one did come back later. The one that we saw on the ledge did come back briefly. I think it was in the 1600's. I haven't even been through the later stuff today.

I think Greg needs to know so that somebody at the campus can be on the lookout for an injured peregrine.

I'll send it to him right now, and I'm glad you saw the one come back it did look small so your probably right about a male, I hate to think about any bird being hurt I'm such a softy when it comes to our birds here

I hated to see them fighting & potentially hurting each other, too, which is why I was so concerned about whether they both were able to leave. Its a little less disturbing thinking that its maybe males & that neither Froona nor the original female were hurt. But its disturbing never-the-less!

I don't think the falcon people on site knew this was happening or they probably would have been panning the cam around the nest trying to get IDs & making sure nobody was seriously injured.

Well here is the video from the morning leading up to the fight and in my opinion it seems they
are alot more alert and on guard alot of looking all over out over the top and behind themselves
sort of like there might be someone/something around they don't want around. I don't know probably my imagination

She seems a little shaggy, but I think it comes from the fact that it is windy at the moment, there.

There are 2 schools of thought on this. The other one is that Froona would have the advantage because of her youth & vigor...
