Crow info...
A group of crows is called a flock or a murder.

Recent research has found some crow species capable not only of tool use, but of tool construction as well.
Crows are now considered to be among the world's most intelligent animals.

They better leave our Snowflake alone...
She was the only one in the nest today??

Too bad they can't do something to keep the crows away. They've given the Owls trouble the last 2 years!!

This is where you'll find the LIVE Valmont cam. Scroll halfway down, and click on the "VIEW" button - and voila - Snowflake --- Dan just went out to grab dinner

Ya know, the "streaming" cam has turned more into a refresh cam....I hope they stream it once the eggs hatch...maybe it has something to do with the number of people watching...who knows...I've got it up in media player right now...and I'm watching the time on it...the time changes in jumps anywhere from 10-60 seconds...is that happening with anyone else?

You're right sgb, it must be a bandwidth issue because earlier this afternoon it was rolling along, but now it is 5 seconds upward.

Oh, at first I didn't realize this was one of the FSV owls - they are Marie and Pierre - named after the Curie's since their nest box is at a decommissioned nuclear reactor at the Ft. St. Vrain power plant of Xcel Energy.
