Ahhhhhhh....is that his first meal...it always amazes me how delicate and careful eagle parents are with those huge beaks..feeding those teeny-weeny pieces...

Well, I missed it all, but thanks for so many pictures everyone and the video, Mick. Don't you just want to pet that fuzzy widdle head? :girlluv:

Sorry to post so many pics today. As you can see, I love these eagles!! Dad came and Mom would not let him take a turn. It is amazing how that big beak can feed such a tiny piece of fish to such a teeny beek.

Talk about a mother's "love". She seems to gaze at "him" with utter adoration. :girlluv:
And she so tenderly steps around him to begin brooding.

OMGosh! I almost spelled utter udder!

OK, this is it for today. I've planted all my early annual seeds today, and my keyboard is full of dirt!

Dad finally got a turn, and is on the nest now.

Thanks to everyone for the lovely pictures and videos today - that baby eaglet is just the cutest! And I can't say enough about the care and devotion shown by the parents - it was so sweet seeing dad trying to take a turn on the nest and to see mom so gently feeding tiny morsels to her new little chick.

Caught the first feeding and missed my brother! Well worth it! Great blog on Norfolk website, too. Lots of info for those who want to learn.
:thanku

It is so amazing!! How about that little baby snapping to get food. Just so cute. You can still see the little egg tooth in your video.
