Wonderful video, Mick...it still just amazes me how gentle and careful the parents are...and I just love their little "bobble" heads...

I'm a little late in posting, but here's a bunch from yesterday. The third chick appears to be pipping now. Reese is zooming.

Here are my highlights from today. What fun to watch!! Dad brought fish in 5 or 6 times, one alive and kicking. All three wee ones were lively all day, popping out from under Mom, who did her best to take a break every once in a while. All three are getting plenty of food, and the sibling rivalry seems to be setting down. Yesterday, the big one was hammering the other two down into the nest. Quite a contender!

Highlights from Saturday. Dad continues to deliver fish until there is no more room. He stayed in the nest trying to help most of the day, but Mom is still the boss. Feedings constantly.

Thanks for those pictures, obxbarb. The joy here helps to counter the sadness at NCTC.

Jim, do you have anything interesting to share? I need a "Jim Fix."

Beautiful screen caps as always! Thanks to all!! Susan, I hope this takes care of
your "fix". These are all from this morning and all of the female as she was out and about
after a nest exchange around 8:15 or 8:30.
Chillin not far from the nest.

She did a little soaring

Then she landed in another tree by the nest.

Ahhhh, this nest is such a feel-good nest, and YES, now with Jim's off-nest pics added to obxbarb's in-nest pics . . . I am at peace with the world. Thank you, Barb & Jim! I sure needed that!!!

Back on Feb 19th I posted a few pics about a eagles nest on
Jamestown Island, Va. I thought the adult pair may have been
sitting on a couple of eggs. They hatched two weeks ago. They do
grow fast. In the third picture you can see some old cam hardware. The 4th & 5th
pictures are of another nest on the island and this nest is out there. The
adult pair was sitting in this tree yesterday afternoon and one of them
did fly over to the nest. There is no telling what is going on out there. But
it is great to see. Keep in mind these nests are a reach.

That may be a eaglet under the adults head. Could also be a stick.
