So if there's old cam equipment up there ... how come there's no cam?

The Park Rangers out there told me the funding for the program was no
longer available.

Jim, you photos are gorgeous, as always. I love seeing the "other side" of the nest.
I have continued to go picture crazy. Today's events were amazing. The eaglets crawled out of the nest bowl...way early! Here's Reese's blog, which tells the story: http://eaglenest.blogs.wm.edu/

OH! The story and the pictures of those cuties trudging their way out of the nest cup was just too adorable! These are some strong kids being raised here. Mom & Dad better be on their toes . . . but of course they always are. :egg8:

I am not 100% sure if this Mom or Dad in the first three pictures.
I would lean towards Mom. Yesterday when I arrived at NBG he/she
was sitting a couple trees over and below the nest.
The last picture is the male after a nest exchange. He left
this perch after a few minutes and returned a hour later with a fish.

Thank you, Jim, for posting these latest pictures. Spectacular as usual! I agree that the 1st 3 pics are of Mom, and the last one is Dad. (I believe Mom's eyes are closer to her beak than Dad's.) obxbarb will know for sure. :egg7:

I just never know what to expect when I visit this beautiful
pair of eagles and their eaglets at NBG. When I arrived this afternoon
Mom was perched in a tree not far from the nest. Next thing I know the male
flies out of the nest and lands on the love branch and Mom was quick to follow.
When she landed I thought they may do some bonding. All of this happened
very quickly just past 3:30. Mom went back to the nest and Dad took off right after
I took these photos. It was amazing!
In case you did not notice I enjoy sharing these moments and thank everyone for
your kind words.
