Yep ... that's her Kitten!! I knew she had been rescued, forgot to post it here! Although at the time Dr. Sharpe was hoping she'd be able to be released ... back on the island, if possible. Now it seems they don't think the wing will be strong enough. At least she's alive - what a distance she went!

:girlluv: I had read an article a few weeks back about her but it didn't say that they knew anything about her or where she was from but it is great to know where she is and that she is in good hands now

Someone started calling her Miss Piggy from what I understand. Probably because of her appetite. What a shame there are people who would name an magnificent Eagle such an ugly name. I have heard her being referred to as K-04 most likely by the IWS Team as they don't like to give their Eagles human names. I heard someone name her Avalon after the island out in The Channel Islands. Personally I prefer Avalon to Miss Piggy. All of the numbers keep going round and round in my head. We have too many numbers to remember now anyhow. Our date of birth, address, home phone, Cell Phone, Pin Numbers, SS#, Passwords. I'm having trouble remembering all of them.

Probably from how she laid that second egg outside the bowl. :( We'll have one spoiled eaglet here this year. Praying for hatch! Since we don't know which one was lost ... could be either the 24th or 28th.

I've been neglecting the Caltrans nest too. :( Too much going on right now.

Poor Mom is getting poured on right now. First possible hatch date is tomorrow!

Yes, bad time of day for pics George. I have one from this morning but it's still hard to see ... but it's there! It was having a little trouble getting out of the rest of it's shell ... kept falling over! :egg6:

And in this pic ... it's under Mom's tail.

Fresh fish doesn't smell at all. I doubt it will be on the nest too long with the frequent feedings of New Eaglets. Mom & Dad have to eat too, and if there are any more siblings the fish will go fast.
