Actually, I think he's on his way to become a good dad, take a look here (it's a bit long, chk YouTube vid description for the clip times where the action happens):

Bosuil - Thanks for the cute video. The male looked so sweet trying to get all three eggs together, but then he stopped moving them when the female arrived. It was nice to see both kestrels together in the nest box, and I agree that it looks as if he'll be a great dad!

Belated clip from Lesser Kestrel nest 16 in Elyakim:

Usually, after the 1rst egg has been laid, male Lesser Kestrels roost outside.
But Saturday, April 2, after the female of nest 16 had laid her 1rst egg on Thu March 31, the male ... sneaked into the nest in the wee hours!

At 1:36 AM, suddenly he steps inside ... and settles in the corner with his partner as they used to do before there were eggs.
Interesting to see them wake up and get ready to leave:

Bosuil..I loved the video!!! They are just so sweet together...and its nice to see calm in one of these nests...

Also, thanks for the egg pics, Ferenz and Mick...so many nests....so little time!!!

Wow - a 5th egg for the Denmark kestrels and a 1st egg for the Helmond kestrels. Thanks for the pictures and the news, Ferenz and Mick.

And thanks for the animated pictures of the Muttenz kestrels, Ferenz. We should be seeing eggs here any day now!

I don't know when these three eggs were laid at the Waldmühle nest in Germany, but I spotted them this morning.

Kempton nest in Germany has first egg.

Waldmühle nest in Germany has fourth egg.
