Video: Dad Gives Mom a Short Break Before Bedtime

Dad flies in so Mom can stretch her wings before incubating the eggs through the night. She stretches when she gets up. It certainly was a short break! She flew back a few minutes later.

We'll soon learn whether or not there really are four eggs. Looked that way to me, but the nest bowl is deep and a shadow across one egg can make it look like two eggs.

With three eaglets, competition for food can be fierce, even when there's plenty to go around. Normal eaglet behavior, but sometimes difficult to watch.

A rainy morning and Mom has been sheltering the eaglets. Then she rises, shakes her wings, and takes off. Dad appears, and after a slow circuit of the nest, he will shelter the youngsters.

I watched a nice feeding yesterday. They were being so good! At first they were all buried in the fluff ... but slowly they emerged to get their tummies filled up!
