The narrator is saying that the parents are circling overhead and that it is not the nature for bald eagles to be aggressive. Parents will return to the nest when the tree equipment leaves.

I lost the ground feed not too long after logging on. Was afraid to refresh in fear of losing everything, so relied on the shots from the tree cam. Also lost sound, so kept reading the narrative on the right. Hope Barb tells us if one of those gals in the picture is her.

Gosh, I feel guilty about getting on. Especially since I don't know how to capture video. I had to leave right as they were putting the babies back so I missed that part.

I can't tell if either of those ladies next to the tree is obxbarb since the shot is pretty blurry. I would say the one on our left in the blue shirt. She is a tiny little thing!!!! Beth, can you help on that ID - what was she wearing?
They are just waking up now and their new jewelry is so pretty! :smile:

Was late for an appt. so had to rush off as the 3rd chick was being raised back up. I also had a heck of a time getting on this morning, but finally got lucky, and then the nest cam went out so couldn't capture their return. Sorry I could not record it. :egg12:

To recap, and so that all eaglet info is in one place:

1st eaglet is a male, the youngest -- weighs approx. 5.75 lb. -- band NV

2nd eaglet is a female, 2nd to hatch -- weighs approx. 6.8 lb. -- band NX

3rd eaglet is a female, the oldest -- weighs approx. 7.5 lb. -- band NZ

Yep, that's me taking pictures for CCB. Reese actually got all the close ups (although I got a few of him :).
Here's his blog from the banding....http://eaglenest.blogs.wm.edu/. So sorry to hear about all the issues with the feed. That stinks!! Based on the eaglecam chatroom, it was really fun for those who could get it. The eaglets were so calm and did not make a sound on the ground. Everyone moves through the process quickly to make it easy on them. Its amazing how big they are...7 pounds each!
