Thanks for all the amazing snapshots of Aston and Denmark - wonderful atmosphere with that light.
Those precious first moments right after hatching ...
Haven't been able to watch either of those cams, great you have posted those pictures here, Ferenz, Beth and others! It's a joy to be able to watch "through your eyes".

Wow-thanks for the updates on Kestrels cuties!!

I found a different Pro Reit site (Switzerland) that has 6 cams and update links that work...

We have Kestrel chicks on Cam 1 -not sure how many-
Edited-maybe 4 or 5?

Soaking wet papa Lesser Kestrel with delayed breakfast (only at 6:40 AM local time), yesterday morning (because of rain and thunder - rather unusual in May - in Israel) -

Dad doesn't want to go back outside, despite the encouraging cries of ma and 4 hungry chicks. After a stand off of almost 15 min., ma decides to go hunting herself. However, after about 20 min. (clip time is compressed), she returns empty-handed. Then Dad gets up and leaves. Ma again carefully checks the floor of the nestbox for any missed prey remainders, but finds none. They'll have to wait till dad returns ... (don't worry, at least 40 prey items were delivered that day during the hours we watched).

Beth and Ferenz - Thanks for the updates on nests, eggs, and hatches! I've just updated the Kestrel Nesting Calendar and Kestrel Cam Links with the latest information.

Bosuil - Thanks for the video and commentary. I'm hoping to have time to watch it within the next hour . . . I'm looking forward to seeing ma and pa kestrel "arguing" over which one will go get the next meal.

Bosuil - I just got a chance to view your video. It was really cute to see and hear mom "talking" to dad about going out to get more food. And the chicks . . . what a racket they make when they're hungry!

Thanks for the Video, Bosuil...I just love listening to them too...there's quite a size difference between the first and last hatched...but the little one looks strong..
