This may be a second hatch...I'm just not sure...but, she was very rough with it and pulled it around with her beak.

She has been ignoring this baby..(I think she has just now pulled it under her). I still do not know if there are 1 or 2...The streaming has been very unreliable, so I've been sitting her with my head cocked to one side trying to watch the refresh...geeeeeeeeeeeeez...

Well, she did raise up a bit, but I think that was because of the chicks moving under her, not because she wanted to give dad a peek...

She fed one chick while it was laying on its back this morning, then took the food over & fed the other chick.

I don't remember seeing so many chicks laying on their backs until this year. Am I just forgetting?

10 am Oak Creek...I'm starting to question whether there will be a hatch here...but I still have my fingers crossed...based on egg lay dates, we should have at least one chick by now...of course, they started full time incubation late...I remember thinking they must have been planning on a 4th or 5th egg because they were off them so much. So, I just hope that's the issue...
