One of my patient's knew I was into watching Eagles and gave us the Link. I love this female, and her Motherly Instincts. I wish some people had them!

Hi Cricket!

One eaglet is flying into the upper branches. Day 3 out of the nest.

Hi Mick!

I just love this nest!

Use to watch K-10 & K-26 on Santa Cruz Island. Since they have no cam we were unable to watch this year. I was sick.

I heard about this nest we tried it and I love the female. What a good mother she was returning to her babies yesterday to shield them with her body from the pelting rain & horrific wind.

She's incredible. The male had a different female who died one winter. RRP said, in a documentary, that the male taught the female how to care for her first young.

I seem to be doing lots of videos as fledge approaches. I'm not going to post them all here

Beautiful pictures, Patti. Mick, you have a wonderful collection of videos of this nest (and other nests, too).

When the little ones are screaming it sounds like the one is belching! I have never heard this before. Can someone explain this to me?

It sounds like they have asthma. I guess it's just eaglet noise. I've never been this close to eaglets before, usually the cam is farther away.

Well that just STINKS!! I just don't understand why they shut it off so early (well, I know why ... but still!) ... others keep their cams on all year! :suntalk:

From 6-22.

From this morn. This video is very long, 8 minutes... don't feel obligated, my friends
After the eaglet flew off this morn, the nest and branches have remained "empty".

I made 9 videos over the last two days. I had a feeling they would be my last views of this family.

I didn't want to over saturate this topic with video so I didn't post them all. Here's a channel link if you'd like a last look.

Fly with fortune lil' ones. Stay safe Mom & Dad.

It is such a sad feeling when the last one finally goes. But I have to remind myself that that means success. Still, it is hard . . . the silence. :sigh
