I feel very sorry for her having to carry that thing around. I do not plan to entertain myself by looking at the GPS maps. :sunmad:

I believe it is called a Padam Noosed Hoop Trap. It doesn't spring shut, the noose catches the bird's leg. This pic posted by elfruler @ RRP forum,

Do you remember the red twine, or tangled line that was brought to the nest way back? The little E's kept getting it tangled in their feet.

Yesterday E2 removed it from the nest to the branch and discarded it. Good riddance!

Oh my gosh Mick what a wonderful-terrific video of the nesting season...
Outstanding :girlluv:

Thanks you so much for sharing with us ALL your videos -AND-
I just loved the barn in the background!
Old barns melt my heart for the times when I played in them as a child with my animals.
Thanks for bringing back such fun memories.

You are welcome Beth. I think I might have went a little overboard on the Decorah nest. I made 135 videos. :suncon: I certainly didn't set out to do that. It just sort of happened. :sunhohum:

:flirty: I'm so glad you decided to record it, Mick...I knew I would forget...and how sweet to hear an eagle in the background...loved it when the horse became curious with the sign...And...for them to even think to do that...just show how much they all were invested in this cam and this family...

135 videos? hmmmmmmmmmmmm....hee hee...that is quite alot...but, I'm very thankful for them...that's how I kept up with this nest...Great Job...your babies did well!!!
