Eagles4kids

Not on camera, however I have seen them most everyday myself. I did see them in the nest for the first time this fall no Friday morning. They have been close to the nest and across the highway and up the road about 1 mile sitting in their favorite spots.

About the Davenport, Iowa nest at the Alcoa plant: They apparently haven't yet put in the new cam. But I got some interesting shots today. Again, I sped up the playback x6 to make up for the intermittent feed.

Thank you so much elfruler! I especially like when the adult moved up onto the branch. I like the orientation of this cam which I am assuming is the old cam (?).

I grabbed this a few hours earlier; blue morn light.

E4K

New pic. Since there were no eaglets last year it looks like they do not have much to do. It will be interesting to see how much they actually do. The camera was raided up a bit from last year. There should be no chance of any eaglets getting it dirty if you know what I mean. I remember the Sydney nest last year and how dirty that cam was. I don't want that to happen here.

Hi talon. Thanks for the update on the cam.
kittenface suggested we make a sub-forum for this nest and take it out of Misc. Eagles. :thumbup

I am no where near as familiar with the nests as you are kitten and have a lot of catching up to do. We make a good team!

:toast

I love your dancing chicken. Isn't that they chicken from that movie where the sky was falling....

And a new update from the website.

Camera Going Offline Posted at 9:34:26 AM
It looks like the old camera will go offline today and we will be off for the day and maybe into tomorrow as we install the new camera. Timing will depend a little on weather. If the rain holds off today, they should be able to get started. We will keep you posted.

Old Camera Down Posted at 12:30:05 PM
The old camera is now down. Our electricians disconnected it just before 11am CST this morning. It will likely be at least tomorrow before the new camera will be mounted. We are hoping to have the new camera online before the end of the week.

Thank you kitten for the link to the article :hall6:

The new cam came up yesterday, and boy is it clearer! It is almost smooth streaming. The sound doesn't seem to be working, or the mic is not sensitive enough to register on my computer. Also the 15-minute timeout is still there. Anyway, one of the adults spent time there in the early morning hours:
