They were in again this morning (11-20). Best time to watch is from 6:30 - 8:00. If they show that is usually the window of opportunity.

Here are some pics from this morning.

I was watching the Decorah cam this morning (oh, really? :holwink: ) and someone on chat posted a link to RRP forum. A woman, forum name "schneid", had the GPS coordinates of E2/D1 and went to see if she could photograph her.

She came upon a nest in BLAINE and she posts,
"...As I crossed the bridge from Minnesota to Wisconsin I saw about 30 juvenile eagles. What a perfect day, I thought! I had a nice leisurely drive. When I was about 4 miles from Blair I couldn't help but notice an eagle's nest on my left-hand side. I turned into the road right beneath the nest and saw a camera was attached onto the limb above it. I took a picture, and went on my way. About 1/2 mile down the road I saw three eagles soaring above. Dang, those things fly fast! I couldn't keep up, but knew I wanted to stop at some point to take a picture. So by the time I found a place to pull over, they were off in the distance. I took pictures anyway, because after all, I am a budding photographer!..."

My friend, AliceWitt identified the nest as E4k. Here is a link to the topic page with schneid's pics.
Sometimes if members delete, the posts can move on the page. It is on page 60 and 61 under the topic "The Travels of D1"

I pulled her first pic and will post it here.
schneid's image below Thank you schneid. A beautiful day, indeed!

Yep, that's it. I was just there this morning on my way to work, and they were in the nest working! They took that last two days off but were at least back at it this morning. :)

Here are some screen caps of them this morning. I know I am kind of cheating getting them from the archives, but I couldn't help posting something.

When the stream is open, if you click the archive tab above the viewing screen it will pull up 10 minutes recorded video. Click on the "dates" tab and then go from there. It is a nice feature they have.

Testing, testing! They were just in around 2:00. Now to search you would have to look for 3:00. You might have to go a bit before or after. remember the videos are 10 minutes in length. There is a scroll bar that you can use too. It must be set for Eastern time or something. One was also in at 10:49:52 central time so you would search for 11:46:52.

See if you can master the art of archives. :thumbup

The actual time this afternoon was 1:55 so you would have to go the the archive that starts before that. The squirrel LUCKY - (named by the students) that lives in the "apartment" below was very busy. He or she is truly LUCKY. Lucy came in shortly after he left the rooftop of his apartment complex followed by Larry shortly after.

They made a couple visits today. One this morning around 10:49. The archive thumbnails are wrong. You would have to go to 11:49 to get the correct one.

Here is lucky, getting lucky. He seems to have an apartment in the basement and comes to the roof for some air and leaves.

Larry comes in to send Lucky a message that this pad is taken.

This afternoon around 1:55 (2:55 archive time) Lucy comes in not too long after Lucky again came up from the basement apartment. :)

...And a beautiful take off!
