It looks like the kids are starting to stretch the nest to its limit!

In case anyone is missing the link for Phoebe's nest, here it is:

I was watching earlier, and they were so cute, they kept flicking their tongues in the air. I caught one. Then there was an attack from a male hummer, and little Bob fell halfway out. I swiped the photo from the website. I just saw on facebook now that little Bob has fledged. An eventful day for Phoebe. No doubt she will be working on brood #2 soon :girlluv:

Here's the video of Bob fledging. Rose looked like she wanted to take off right after him!

Great catch, Beth. Super mom Phoebe is certainly off to a good start this nesting season with her first hatch!

Wow - Great pictures Barb!

I was just watching for a bit and saw the kids sleeping and then getting fed when Phoebe returned to the nest. This shot is right after they were fed and just before they started flapping up a storm in the nest.

According to the chat room messages, the fledge watch is supposed to start this week.

Thanks for the pictures, Barb. The little hummer chicks are just too sweet for words! I'm glad to see that they're both still there, but it won't be long now before they've both fledged. They really do grow up fast!
