What a GREAT Video Beans! I too was a little worried at first, but it was certainly a delight. Love the "poop" shot in the end! Quite a finish to the story!

Tiny sure doesn't let the bigger ones push him around. He is so adorable.
Just when I was thinking "all we need is a poop shoot" I was rewarded! :hapdance: .

I haven't seen all five barn owls together -- Hope there are still five!

If I was unknowingly [or knowingly] walking near a barn owl nest and this kind of noise was coming out of it, I would be totally freaked out!

I cannot open this cam for some reason, but I don't recall seeing all 5 on any of the posted videos. Very hard to tell with the crowding in the nest.

02/14/12 Banding Day. If all continues to go well I will band the chicks on Sunday, February 26. There are two sessions available for 20 people each with the banding part overlapping both sessions. First session starts at 12PM, second at 12:45. This is also an opportunity for us to raise some funds for Starr Ranch, so there is a $100 donation per person. Lunch will be provided

I would love to attend a banding here some day.

Both the facility (for example Starr Ranch) and the bander (for example, Pete) must be licensed by the USFWS to put a band on a federally protected migratory bird. I've assisted with banding, holding the bird while he got his bands. The birds would rather skip this whole procedure and just be released!

Has some one have a clue what all the talk is about Tiny being thrown out with the stuff in the nest they said something about mom cleaning and tiny getting tossed by accident then someone posted bird overboard I see one that could be him but I don't watch enough to tell

Here's the video:

One viewer asked whether or not # 5 fell out of the nest when food was delivered. It's really hard to tell. I'm hoping Pete will post an answer on the website.

I think this is the video that shows #5 possibly falling out of the nest. But there is a ledge in front of the nest, so perhaps not?
