Right after this picture Hope or Valor not sure because of the ice build up were back on the eggs

Quite the winter event for Hope and Valor for sure! Still ice on the lens :gaah:

but can see better, Valor just relieved Hope on nest for a bit, now Hope back. The nest tree was shown for a while this am. Lot better view ...lol...

Both sitting in the far tree earlier

I just love having the view of the nest tree. Have learned a lot about the two of them. When Hope flies from the nest, she goes toward the cam and down. Valor usually goes to the far tree or off to the right. and both can be seen from far tree quite a bit, often together. Their time off the nest has lessened considerably this week, even though the weather was warm til today. Valor has been on nest early 6:30ish cst and late in day after sunset.

Valor sometimes perches under the cam where we can't see him. Photo of him eating there.

Hope the weather moderates soon!!

Just reading SUMRR FB page and a falcon was spotted at nestbox Monday and again today. Photo is up on FB page... it's a great photo!!

Golden Eagles
Here's the latest from Windows on Wildlife on Feb. 22, 2012:

hey all...Janet and Forrest here. The Goldens are back on the Wychus Creek nest. First egg laid on Feb 20 second egg laid today (we think). We are in the process of setting up the telescope and the camera...will take a few days...perhaps a week or two. Stay tuned!!!

Cam not up yet but coming soon.

Oh yes, sweet dreams for Hope tonight! The weather turned nasty with rain changing to drizzle and back to rain now. Seemed like she and Valor had a good day today. :thumbup

Caught this today. . thought it was so cute. . I don't know what derek was doing because he really didn't have food in his beak. . .giving his baby a kiss?

Ohhhh that was sooooo cute SGB! :) I think Derek had some food in his mouth too that he was feeding the chick. Tag team feeding! :) He's such a good Daddy. :)
