Thanks for all the pics!!! There are so many eagles in this area its not surprising that there would be some commotion.

Love those little open beaks, but better yet when they are closed and the satisfied eaglets are snoozing. :zzzzz .

Actually ... a couple of us over on WOW have been a bit concerned. They seem to get left alone for long periods of time. . . which does not seem normal to me considering neither one is even a week old yet. And there seems to be a lack of food coming in. I haven't seen a single fish yet. There was that bird ... which seems to be what they've been eating the last couple days.

If anyone is watching during day ... please post your observations.

With a 15 sec. refresh, we miss a lot here. The parent appears to be in the typical feeding stance. Let's not get too upset yet.

Well, finally, right before the storms went through a fish finally was brought in. Then the cam signal got cut off from the storm. Hopefully they get it up running tomorrow.

I emailed Lisa yesterday and she has been a bit concerned as well about the lack of fish. No ice, so fishing shouldn't be a problem. And of course as soon as she emailed me back a fish showed up. This morning they were fed and Laura caught both adults on the nest so at least I know we're not missing one. We were thinking maybe it was a new male but I think it's the same one. Hopefully the food drops pick up. Although they have been left alone again today.

Very, very bizarre! happenings at the nest this morning. We think they are both dead, but then there was movement from one of them. They have turned the cam off. :( I'm heartbroken. We knew things were 'not right' and had letLisa know. Please go to the WOW forum and watch Laura's video and animations. It almost seems as if the adult actually killed the chicks. VERY bizarre!

Really sad news. Thank you Patti for alerting Lisa to the issues here. It seems very strange. I wonder if there is a new eagle here? :tissue:

this just breaks my heart. .. thanks for letting us know, PattiO. .. I went to WOW. . .but I just couldn't read all the posts and look at all the pics. . it was just way to sad, to one minute to see the pics of the chicks moving around. . .and then to see their lifeless bodies. .

This is a very sad day for all the BW eagle watchers and for Lisa. . I do hope that Lisa will be able to retrieve their little bodies to maybe determine cause of death. . .maybe it can help to know what happened to them. . so tragic. .

I just went to the site and saw the news. Something about one might still be alive but activity doesn't look good so took cam off line?? How very sad. :tissue:

I cannot look at the pictures or video. Poor little darlings.

I can't watch any sad videos either. PattiO, you were right all along. I thought they were getting fed and were perky each time I looked in. So bizarre and sad. :cryinggirl:
