Here is a question I'm throwing out for anyone
Do you think that all those juvies and other eagles around are stopping the nesting here?

yes. .. or a strong maybe. . it disrupts the routine of getting the nest ready and mating. . plus the stress of always having to defend. . But, there is one thing I have learned this year, working with the Richmond eagle cam. . the female can store sperm for up to 7 days. . can ya imagine? but, I don't think anything can stop the surge of hormones that will eventually come. Just my uneducated thoughts

Short video from this morning and some pics. Some interesting calling. On my way home there was a juvie flying towards the nest. It was BIG.

I have read that too that sperm can last for several days. I have read several places from 7 - 10 Days. We are day 8 here. This was the last time we had a visual anyway. We have no way of knowing how many times this might have occurred since off camera.

they have been extremely active for most of the day. They might be out for a snack right about now: (2:23.)

Snow is moving in, but it isn't suppose to be as bad here as up north. I hope the weatherperson is right.

Kittenface: Good one, I was watching when that was going on. I am editing video as we speak. Let's just say there is a bit to go through. That's a good problem, I guess. I just wish it was egg laying video.
