Lucy comes in first. She settles in the nest bowl. Larry arrives. Lucy does the wag again. He doesn't seem interested. Maybe he was worn out with off cam romantic moments. Starting to get worried. I know, stay positive. I keep telling myself that, BUT...

Talon have you seen all those other eagles there yet? And don't get discouraged
there are still nests that don't have eggs yet maybeL & L will be the nest that waits til last minute and then we'll be able to watch them the longest into the season :biggrin:

I know there were crows flying around. One even was in the same location she flew to.

This video includes some graceful fly ins. Lucy eats whatever Larry brought in, go figure.

No more hoping! Lucy had her first egg around 4:30. I am in shock. It appeared to be an "easy" labor as far as they go. It went very quick. I am in shock!

I am really excited about this announcement of a first egg here. I watched Larry as he built up the nest and then both of them working this season. I kept hoping, but was giving up and now here it is the FIRST EGG! :thumbup

There is actually sound albeit it is very faint. We will work on sound for next season.
