It scared me too. I thought it was mom who rushed to 10 and then called from 9. It was so fast. Glad you have the video Kitten.

Bev, caught a good snap at HWF too. Looking forward to seeing yours.

I am tired and SO glad you have 4 days off as I am around tomorrow but gone on Tuesday. Keep me posted on names. It IS your turn to name them.

6:00 to 6:30 ONe eagle incubates and the other is above on a branch. They are cheeping and calling to each other.

6:27 Switch

6:45 Dad is really talking and finally gets off the nest and when he returns all is quiet and calm.

7:52 Mom comes in lots of conversation...these two are very talkative.

8:33 to 8:39 Lots of calling and then I can see a big bird circling the area. The eagles are on the defense and then dad is off the nest and calm prevails.

I did not see a feeding, but have seen pato. I am loving the sound...not only eagles, but turkeys, coyotes, cows, dogs, and lots of bird calls.

Oh, after watching your video, kittenface, I see why you were concerned. Looked like a pretty big bird approaching, but thankfully Mom chased it off. At the 1:04 mark in your video that bird is seen approaching from a distance.

Kittenface it is really windy at the nest. It is windy and sunny here about 25 miles south. At the 11:15 feeding time I was really wondering if there were 2 eaglets. Keep your eye open as Mom was in the way really as she ate at 8. I will be in and out as I have the grandkids in a little bit until dinner time. I think as long as the wind is blowing like this the eagles will hunker down.

The wind is terrible there and here also Patti glad mom & dad are keeping PatO covered up and warm.
golden I hope there is another hatch but kind of hope not you know with this wind it would be so easy for bad things to happen but I'm watching (just like there would be anything I could do) :teehee:

We have 2 bobbles now and they are feeding really well. The pantry is at 4 and not as easy to view the chicks at feeding. The eagles are real talkers and they have been switching places about every hour and a half.

I am off to watch grandkids. bb tonight.
