I saw it.

They are taking him.

He was in wet part of nest. Covered in fecal matter & had some maggots. He has equilibrium issue on right side

They want to get him cleaned up, dried and will put him back.

You are welcome.

I'm so glad they got him some help. That was REALLY hard to watch him struggle.

I'm too stupid to just turn the cam off....

I recorded that rescue, too, and it's on its way to my YT site. In the meantime, here are three pictures:

This video begins before the rescuers arrive. You can see that Dad is on "high alert."

May 4, 2012: This morning we noticed a young eaglet having problems in the nest. He seemed to be trapped and was struggling to get up. His worried parents were unable to help him. USFWS granted a permit for a rescue, and an experienced tree climber climbed 70 feet to the nest and freed the eaglet. A quick body check resulted in the eaglet being removed from the nest, to be examined at a wildlife hospital.

Sadly, on April 30, the other eaglet fell from the nest and died.

Gosh, thank you for providing the videos. I did watch it live but was helping a friend with a Picasa question and did not see everything. Sure hope this little one does alright after a little R&R. God Bless all those who made this rescue possible! My Heroes!
