I had to be out all day today - picking up my daughter from school... but I'm glad the rescued poor little Harmon. I hope he can be returned. :egg15:

I always applaud those who do the rescues. We know there are many we do not know about but when we know , we need to help.

An update!

An excerpt,
Julie from the Raptor Center was grateful enough to take some time from her schedule to provide us with an update. Harmon was brought in, fed and cleaned up. He was given vitamins and I think she said antibiotics too. They say he is doing well and this morning was calling for food. The Raptor Center has been in discussions with the DNR for most of the morning evaluating and trying to formulate a plan....
...Foster home, if health or timing of nature prevent the eaglet from going back home, the Raptor Center will work to find a foster home where he can be raised in good health.

I hope Harmon can rejoin his parents once he is well enough. I completely trust that what ever happens, it will be in his best interest. Thanks for the update Mick.

After shooting the franklin institute's hawks here in philly this morning I didnt think it could get much better but en route to a get together of some former hs classmates from 30 years ago what did i see less than 1/4 mile from my front door? I later learned that there is a nest nearby at an undisclosed locatioin so now i have to go on a treasure hunt for sure nest season
