The rescuers who returned Harmon to the nest reported seeing the parents within eyeshot, so I'm confident they are keeping close watch. The Richmond eagle parents needed some time before they could trust the situation, so probably the same here.

Everyone at the SS keeps saying the parents won't come in after dark but I have seen and videoed M & D at Fort flying in after dark I am getting very depressed listening to sweet Harmon crying/talking/yelling what ever you want to call it.
What is everyone else think about night flying?

I want to believe parents are nearby. He seems to be napping , well preening now, and does not seem to be in distress, so maybe Mom and Dad are near and he knows... Keeping talons crossed.

If they reported parents watching, the parents will be watching to make sure intruders are gone.

and we have seen ealges fly at night. Look at norfolk , when intruder came in

All will be well, and if not I am sure they will take him out. but positive thoughts all around

Harmon looks pretty content in the nest right now. He's soaking up the sun, and he has plenty of fish heads around to snack on whenever he wants. (Of course it would be better if we saw Mom or Dad there to keep him company, but it looks like Harmon's doing OK without them so far.)

It's possible that a parent has been to the nest overnight or earlier this morning. That's my hope, anyway.

After reviewing the situation at Richmond to try and compare it to this situation at MNBound, the chicks appear to be about the same age. It was approx. 36 hours from the last time a human went to the Richmond nest until a parent returned (Sat evening to Monday morning 7:30 a.m.)

Harmon was returned at about 5 p.m. Sunday, so 36 hours would put it at early Tuesday morning. At Richmond, it was observed that the parents were very nearby, circling and defending the nest. So, I'm very hopeful that we will have a successful situation here also.

From watching eagles for as long as falcons , Eagles seem to take a bit longer to come bck to nest but if they were spotted, I am sure they are watching.

Radisson, our falcon, is more leery of 2 legged intruders, and takes a long time to return, after thye have been around.

Positive thoughts here.

Here you go Bev.

I watched last night until they turned the cam off, hoping to spot a parent. Poor little guy.
