Oh my goodness! Couldn't believe that struggle over the food. It was good to see Harmon still has a full crop and is flapping his wings. :ohyes:

Last night was no doubt one of the most incredible moments we have ever been a part of. We did our best to keep our distance in hopes that we would not deter the parents from returning to the nest. Kitten-I want to thank YOU for the Harmon alert last week.
If you hadn't posted the info I would have missed a very touching/lasting/sweet
up and down-roller coaster ride that left BCAW members/me and thousands of folks
in happy tears!! :dancinggirls:

and just a note about the food struggle. they are probable so glad to have Harmon back that each of them wants to show him how much and do the feeds( just my take as a human :egg9:

Harmon's snoozing under the watchful eye of one of his parents. And it looks like Mom and Dad have added more nesting material to keep Harmon cozy.

I have been watching this cam since mid April and these two eagles have food tug of wars often. Mom usually is the winner. Then dad moves to his corner or exits the nest. I have watched cams now for 3 1/2 years and I so enjoyed watching the tender good night that mom gave Harmon. That name by the way was to be changed when school kids named the chicks, but I don't think there will be any change of name now. :)

I also think that the fish cat or other intruder was distracting them the day before Kirby fell. The rains made it hard for them to catch fish. Things seem to be much calmer and back to normal yesterday and today.
