It is the 1st hatched in my estimation. There is some disagreement about which is which. I think it is Luke/lukette is you will. Just my opinion.

larry visited the nest at 6:28 I also believe it is the first hatched Luke that is down under the nest. Though I think Luke is a female from size but not sure either. The other juvie is resting in the nest or looking for nestovers.

The videos sure keep the speculation down and it was great to see the tumble since I was not at home at the time.

Several are going out to the nest today so we will have ground observer viewpoints later today. :eggthumbs:

I've been confused with their names/hatching order from the start! :egg6:

First hatched is usually female. So that one should be Lily and the younger one Luke .. but the kids named them so it doesn't matter! :biggrin:

7:29 Talon reported in at chat on Ustream. He said they did not spot Lilly anywhere. There were 8 searchers or so I read. So we will just have to wait and see what develops. I think Talon got some video footage today and will be posting later.

Luke and Lilly are in and out of the nest. Food drops are the characteristic rush the parent, mantle and fuss over the food. They have been pretty fiesty with each other over food especially. It has been very hot at the nest the last few days...high 90's and 100"s there. They have been a bit testier with the heat. It has been a fantastic season here and Lucy has been a great mom. Larry finds such a variety of food too.
