I am watching but so far no egg. She was gone for a while. Came back and did some odd, maybe egg laying posturing. Then Ozzie flew in and there was quite the conversation, but I still don't see an egg. I am tying to read the chat, but I lose the right hand side of it. I think the consensus at this time is NO EGG HARRIET! And now Ozzie is gone again. SIGH...

Update on the Harrison Bay Eagles I sure hope that things work out this year :sum10:
New Season, New Tree, New Equipment
Another exciting season for the Harrison Bay Eagle Cam has begun. It has been several months since the unfortunate loss of Elliott and Eloise's little ones this past April and with the prospect of a new season they have decided they need a new home. They have moved nesting locations to a different tree on the golf course for reasons maybe they only know.

Beautiful photos! I especially love the photos of the two eagles flying together, the juvie, and the eagle flying over the water, but they are all great.

one more eagle shot from yesterday's trip to connowingo. The title of this shot i think should be "the one that got away". We lost our catch while being engagged in the air to air combat with the other eagle. since the shot i got of the dropping of the fish, i can only show the fish before we let it drop back into the Susquehanna River. The other hungry eagle never caught it

Jim & Cindy at Dayton/Boonshoft nest
December 3, 2012 - It has been a month since my last update. During that time nest construction activity has slowed down considerably. Jim and Cindy have rebuilt the nest to a sufficient size to be used in the new nesting season. We were able to get a closer look at the nest this weekend and I estimate its current size as about 5-6 feet in diameter and around 4 feet deep on the outside. The floor of the nest is probably just a foot or so below the rim. For now Jim and Cindy are content to spend most of the day side by side in the trees south of the nest. They are only adding a few more sticks to the nest every now and then. Nest-building will intensify as time for egg laying nears. I expect that by late February another foot of sticks will be added to its dimensions.

The deer population in the well field looks very healthy as we head into the winter. This is good news to the well field coyotes that also seem rather well fed and heavily coated as the cold weather approaches. JBW/EEW
