Thanks so much for the video, Talon. . I obviously tuned into the cam at the wrong time...but, so glad she made an appearance ..

Lucy dropped down for about 20 minutes this afternoon. So sorry I had the PTZ cam focusing on a hillside and missed this action, but at least we have the fixed cam. I can also tell you she fed for quite some time again today.

Both Morning Visits: She had a great fly in, feaking, vocals loud and clear and even moved a stick!

Wow, what day. There were 2 visits this morning and then all heck broke lose this afternoon. On my way home I saw both adults in the tree. Then I got a call that there was a lot of calling up there. I got home as soon as I could. I turned the computer on and panned up. There was Larry and panned over and there was Lucy. However, my mother then called and said there was an additional BE in the tree with Larry above the cam's view and another just down from the nest. Later Larry was attacked or at least given some kind of warning from one. It came down on his back while he was perching on the branch. Lucy was very vocal too.

We did have quite an afternoon. Sure hope we do not have any repeats of this kind of intrusion. This morning however was very interesting. Lucy has not been happy with a stick at 10 side of nest. It was wiggling on landing. She moved it to the center of the nest. It was so good to see her do that. We move ahead one day at a time.

Good grief!!! I certainly don't want any more excitement like this and let's hope this isn't the beginnings of an attempted nest take over. .

Larry did seem rather calm during most of the time!!! So glad to see Lucy on the nest, "holding down the fort"!!!

A nice surprise this morning. Larry was on the perching branch and Lucy in the nest.

Audio is out of sync at the beginning...A few minutes after this verbal exchange (and this video), Larry left, followed by Lucy.

Maybe they will be able to get a closeup of her feet next time she visits the nest. I sure would like to see how that left foot is doing...

Lucy returned at 11:34 and 12:58 She stayed about 15 min each visit. She was standing on her rt foot which is her injured foot for a while. She was preening and watchful. Then Larry returned at 4:16 It was quite windy. At one point another eagle was heard but not seen as he perched there on his branch. There was a good stretch of sunshine during the day and the temps were in the mid 30's. They did not seem to be bothered today by intruders.
