wow..thanks for zooming in, Talon and for being there to get the video, Mick..

I'm guessing she's still gonna lose the rest of that foot? (up to the yellow?)

Next goal..I really want to see the hind toe of her left foot. that's the one that's been so very swollen and has been causing her to walk on the side of her foot. Her front toes are looking good!!!

In some of my earlier pics of this foot, the circled area appeared to have damage..I'm not seeing it now!!! :hapdance:

(it was dark grayish before~at least in my pics)

I'm only guessing here, but this could be that hind toe..only a guess though..

Earlier today~Larry brought in more nesting material...I think this was his second addition to the nest.

It sure was a surprise Talon. I don't think anyone posted anything for 20 seconds and then there multiple OH MY posts. Too funny. But it was sure unexpected. It was a busy day of both warning off intruding eagles that were feeding on the deer, romance, Lucy feeding on the deer and then all the snow. Every day brings a new adaptation or surprise. Go Team LUCy! :sum9:

I do not know who put out the memo on an Eagle Convention but they continue to show up. Lucy is eating in the field and she is the one that leaves and then comes to the nest. Larry and Lucy are vocal at times. There was a dog there too. Larry brought in some sticks. When he left his perch I am fairly certain I heard him break that branch off but he was off screen. Great action this morning!

Must be that free food ad you put up Talon. Hopefully you have a big freezer :)
I think you could almost hold a fundraising eagle festival there soon, it looks almost like Alaska!

I am just in awe of Lucy's adjustment and continuation of normal eagle activities. All it took was a little supplemental food. The possibility of seeing eggs at this nest will be something for the books.

nasty weather today at this nest...blowing snow. Lucy did arrive at 3:24. She moved a stick and then exited over 5 2 min later. Hopefully they are in the pines out of the wind tonight. The weather is nasty for another day at least.

Lucy is one determined eagle that has strong desire to survive.

According to the E4kids website, it is currently MINUS 18 degrees!!!

Lucy in the nest...sorry the vid is a tad jerky...Lucy and Larry exchange good mornings..You can see Lucy's "Breath"!!!

I can very get too much of Larry. Lucy gets the bulk of the attention and she should. But there is just something about Larry. He is Awesome!
