Thanks, Kitten! We can cross our fingers that the vibration in the Milwaukee nest is the reason nesting hasn't occurred there yet & now that its fixed, hopefully we'll see babies there this year! :sum9:

Well I don't know if I'll get an answer but I asked about that thing at Presque hanging and if it might have something to do with the pigeons and the falcon that just showed up not coming around. As soon as it appeared there hasn't been any bird there at all.
Please if someone knows what it is please post I am the cat and my curiosity is killing me :teehee:

Kitten...It looks like a cover for the cam...

There was someone home though....For almost the entire day!!

This falcon looks like it has a lot of white feathers on it's head..makes it look older....
I am not familiar with these cams or falcons...

thanks Matrix....I think since WE changed their website, that link is no longer needed...All the PeFa info is on that main page..

Greg Septon oversees all the nests here...He does an incredible job and writes amazing reports at the end of the nesting seasons..You can find those reports here

Some very interesting info in that post...

There is a new female at Pleasant Prairie

On Feb. 14, he identified a new adult female as (b/r) 00/Y. She was produced in 2010 at the Chase Bank, Lima (also known as Bank One Lima) in Allen County, Ohio.

Some interesting info about IndyFroona LOL

Over the past week, Septon made an effort to document her movements and found that she traveled between the two sites frequently. He identified her by band numbers at both sites as follows: Feb. 12 PWGS, Feb. 13 UWM, Feb. 14 PWGS, Feb. 16 UWM, Feb. 17 PWGS.

Septon suspects Indy Froona would probably stay at UWM if she had her way, but so far each spring, the unbanded female that nests at UWM returns and reclaims her site forcing Indy Froona back to Port Washington. Last year, the unbanded female returned to UWM on March 8, so we’ll see what happens here before long.

Thanks for the WE nest info, SGB. Glad IndyFroona hasn't totally deserted her PW nest & mate.

Well, she's not the only one who flies South for the Winter. We now know of a number of falcons & tiercels who have visited other nests during the Winter, then return to their own nest in the late Winter/early Spring.
