OMG!! I've never seen so much snow on that nest!!!

If the eagles had still been then ... today (or yesterday) would have been first hatch ... in all that snow!!!

20 February 2013: Oklahoma is expected to have a mixture of snow, sleet, and freezing rain through Thursday morning. This extended period of cloudy skies and snow covering the solar panels means the owl camera will likely stop working before this storm system has moved through, and sunshine will then be needed to recharge the camera's power supply.

Great Horned Owls have been known to successfully incubate eggs at temperatures below -25 F.

look at cam page, scroll down and you sill see our poor owl. I cannot imagine how tough they have to be.

Still no luck with the cam...been checking on and off all day...I wonder why the other one is working? Maybe its not solar...

Cams back...for now...mom looks ok...at least she's not buried...I sure do Hope Mr. Owl provided her with treats last night..


(PB is being so terrible...I bet they are doing it on purpose so that we all switch over now!!!)
