Mom is getting a coating of snow I hope she doesn't lay another one tonight I also read that there is suppose to be a big snow storm south of the nest and an even bigger one north of the nest site

Second egg arrives at Ft St Vrain Bald Eagle nest!

I was lucky enough to watch Mom Ft St Vrain as she laid her second egg tonight. This is a tough nest for me to watch as they are so exposed to the weather and seem often on alert. Really hoping for a successful season for these great eagle parents! The pic included with this post is one from the side view cam, which I find really beautiful in the evening. It shows mom in her ?labor? position, a few minutes before the egg was laid. I did not catch a screen capture of the two eggs, but I did see them both for half a second. Congrats to Mom and Dad Ft St Vrain!

We missed the egg but now she has to really lay low an d tough it out. Poor girl

I just checked in on mom again...looks like the snow has stopped (at least for now)..she's gotten all the snow off of her and she is sleeping soundly!!!

thanks bev well its snowing again but if that big snow hits around the nest its tonigh to tomorrow night almost a foot if not more
