Two Harbors laid their first egg last night!!! It was 10:57 PM nest time ... first reveal of the egg was at 1:02 AM.

Sad loss of one egg at the Turtle Bay nest :tissue:

The Turtle Bay nest in Northern California, has lost one of their three eggs. It was reported that shortly after it was first noticed, there was a view of an eggshell piece, so it seems that it did break. The reason is unknown. Sure hope that the two remaining eggs thrive.

RE: Santa Cruz, Sauces nest..

    It has been clear for a couple of days that there is an intruder that is bothering the Sauces nest pair. A-27 (Mom) and A-40 (Dad) have been on high alert and seen chasing something. Currently, the cam is down, but A-27 has not been seen on the nest since yesterday mid-morning, so over 24 hours. The cam has been down since about noon today, so she may have returned in that time (we hope). We know that Dad incubated overnight. Lots of mysteries going on at this nest. Hoping everything turns out well. The cam currently says “live” but it is showing daylight at 8pm nest time, so ???.

A27 still has not returned. :( A40 left the nest about 25 minutes ago. . . probably to find food. Dr. Sharpe is sending a crew out to see if they can see A27 anywhere. No clue what's going on. Just have to wait and see. :sum6:

I checked the forum...still no sighting of Mom...

This is dad, zonked on the nest...bless his heart!! I keep thinking that if the intruder were female, then why isn't she pestering dad on the nest, etc.?????
