squirrels are fun to watch too! and they're diurnal!

it's showing an owl now, perhaps she could stream both cams? or both boxes?

either that or stream squirrels by day and owls by night

Aurora, as far as I know, there is only one box....I guess the squirrels decided to use it while Penny was out hunting...I'm waiting to hear back from the box owner to see what she says...

on the ustream page, it mentions a box number 1 and a box number 2. That's where I get the idea there are 2 boxes.

Chris’ Eastern Screech Owl Nest Box Cam’

\~February 20 – Egg no. 4 appeared sometime after sunset today. Details to follow.

/~~February 18 – Egg no. 3 was laid today somewhere between 6:14 and 8:12 AM CST. Mme. Owl has not begun brooding in earnest, yet, so she was absent enough on the night of the 18th/19th for me take down the nest box, photograph, weigh, and measure the eggs. I've designated them “A,” “B,” and “C” in the table below, because I have no idea which is the first, second or third egg laid.

Egg Weight ±0.2g Major Axis Minor Axis
A 20.6g 36.48mm 32.53mm
B 19.7g 36.37mm 32.14mm
C 19.8g 35.74mm 31.79mm

Food continues to be a problem, because Mr. Owl appears to deliver nothing but caterpillars, and Mme. Owl spends long periods of time calling for more food with little effect. Far larger, and more nutritious, prey is available; Mr. Owl has to stop going for the quick and easy junk food, and start bringing big prey with bones; Mme. Owl likely needs the calcium. That may be one reason why she hasn’t been consistently brooding at night even after the arrival of the third egg: she needs to go hunt for herself.

Mrs. Barred is having some rest after sitting in the nest box for about six weeks, most of the time.

Talk about being very, very behind...but, Athena the Screech owl is currently sitting on 3 eggs...I think it caught everybody off guard but I need to do more research to find out when they were laid!!
