Lucy is currently awake and preening like there is no tomorrow...gosh..I mean she is going to town...she had 2 visitors earlier that she totally ignored....mice scurrying around on the nest!!!

From this morning...Larry lands with a stick..this time, he misses Lucy's head..

Proceeds to bop Lucy in the head..

He insists on putting the stick over in that area. Lucy takes over

But Larry still wants to work on that area of the rails

Larry eventually turns his attention to the nest bowl while Lucy works on the rails.

Lucy eventually is done...and leaves all the nest stuff to Larry...she takes off.

Her tail feathers are really looking rough...probably from all the contact with the ground, etc..but, they still work well!!!

Great snaps of some action today. Cams were down a lot, but hopefully the isp took care of things for good. I did manage a pic before they went down again this afternoon. Lucy continues on and we wait.

I just wonder what the chances are of them having eggs I hate to say it but I hope not she needs to continue to watch out for herself

That would be nice, but I am guessing her instinct to reproduce probably is stronger.

I know that Lucy's health is the most important thing, but I sure would like to see her have at least 1 egg...just one!!! (sweet Larry sure wants one!!!) I wonder if her injury has disrupted her hormones...and I also wonder if any of the canoodles were even successful.

Today might not be a good day for an egg!!! :cold:

Love all the pics and videos. Keep them coming. I thought I would post a link to a video the kids produced with their art teacher. They had a blast. I know I will not get the link to post right. I tried somewhere else and it is a weird one. Oh well.
