These 2 had just eaten and the big one is in a full blown FOOD COMA it took every thing it had to move its wing :laugh2

Say Hello to Honor and Glory!

The results are in and by a significant margin you have chosen Honor and Glory as the names of the two Alcoa EagleCam eaglets for 2013. This set of names received 33.3% of the 124,690 total votes cast in our poll over a ten day period. Last year we had just over 70,000 votes cast to name the 2012 eaglets. While we do not have a way to know the sex of the eaglets, many of those who post on this site are convinced the larger (first hatched) eaglet is a female. We will call her Glory and the younger eaglet will be named Honor.

Well our great happy nest is now offline. The storms Wednesday morning took out the cam. They are working on getting it fixed. :sigh

CAM UPDATE :gaaaaah:

We have isolated the problem to the camera itself. After consulting with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service we understand and agree we will not be able to do any repair work to the current camera until after this nesting season.



We have come up with a plan to install a camera from a temporary location a distance from the nest. We are hoping to get that done in the next few days. Complicating that is the fact the Mississippi River is rising and the property with the nest is low-lying and will have some water rising over the next few days. We will post another update as soon as we have more information
