That was just horrible!!! What would possess a hawk to do that? Mom is still being very careful in the nestbowl, so I just pray the eggs are ok..it's not helping to have part of that hawk spilling over into the nest bow..WOW...

The Duke Farms site posted today that biologists think one chick hatched.

Update 3/25/2013
It appears at least one chick has hatched, biologists have observed feeding in the nest (with the adult feeding the chick the remains of the hawk from the attack on 3/24/2013).

Second chick confirmed. See the post

3/25/2013:

Upon reviewing user observations, video and consulting state wildlife biologists it appears that both eggs hatched on March 25! A clip of the hatchlings can be found in the video links on the right hand side of this page. Given the angle of the cam, you can just make out the tops of their heads.

It wasn't to bad today now yesterday I turned it on and while I was waiting for it to come up I read on SS how windy it was I just went ahead and turned it off :teehee:
