BTW...the male has been ID'd at Genoa...according to the website, his name is Lucas, a 2004 Alma Hatch.

OK so he is back thats nice now if we knew who the female is there that would be even better

I saw her in the box this morning (3 am and still at 4 am)

Someone at Genoa now in a strange position. I tried to get a capture of another strange position there & my computer crashed. Wondered if that cam caused it. Anyway, here's the strange position.

She changed positions so I was able to get a capture of the egg.

That little falcon at Genoa is odd acting. I first thought that I was watching the male as it was turning, scraping, etc and it seemed small. Then the egg appeared. :eek:

This is her right afterwards. I was thinking good grief, is she asleep in that position on the egg.

Maybe it's her first egg and she doesn't exactly know what to do. I'm not really all that familiar with the nest.

She did seem somewhat exhausted after laying that egg. The first can be a bit hard to push out, the next ones may come easier.

Not sure if we had everything worked out or not but the site says:

Female is 21/V or Hedweg, a 2011 hatch from the Wisconsin Public Service Weston Power Plant, in Rothschild, WI.

Male is C/97 or Kiwi (2006 hatch from Xcel Allen S. King)
