Three of Aria and Vento's chicks have hatched :eggthumbup:

I guess the one facing the wrong direction is chick number 4. Poor baby, he's like what the heck is going on?
Boy they sure were vocal to be so little. Also the other parent was on the ledge.

Parent was on the nest, I assume the mother. She left and went all the way down to the other end of the ledge, I was thinking to get some stash. Meanwhile the one sitting above the nest on the ledge went back behind there somewhere and got stash and flew off with it. A couple minutes later they fly in with the prey to feed the chicks. May have been the original one. (sorry I don't know them that well) Anyway the feeding went very well and all dozed off in the end, apparently full.

That ledge must be their cache.

When mom returned she made a mad jump from the edge of the nest into the pile of chicks. I fully expected to hear some crying, but they didn't even budge so she must have known exactly where to put her talons. :eggthumbup:

Yes, their "larder" is up on that ledge. It's always great fun when the chicks start moving around because they always find the stash of food and usually make short work of it :teehee:
