I'm gonna post some pictures in a bit .... take a look at the Valmont GHO nest if anyone is still up. Snowflake would be snowbound!

Well, unfortunately, it did not result in a feed. I guess the parent ate it. XCEL cams do not like me, so I lost the feed. When I got it back, he/she was on the way to cover the eaglets. I still can't get a head count. I was hoping that while she was defurring, that I would see bobbleheads...but, no...too hard to see with overhead and she was blocking the scrape view..

Was still defurring with this pic

Image

Lost the cam and when I got it back, she was standing there and then went to the scrape

Image

Image

I really don't see prey in the upper on the overhead..

I opened the cam just in time to see 1 parent land and take off again...I saw one chick move. Its hard to see the kids unless they move. Temp now 32 degrees..these chicks are going to die of exposure if this continues, especially without food..I hate to say that...Let's just hope a parent is visiting to warm them up when I'm not looking..

Feeding and covering a while ago I saw FOR SURE 2 I'm not even going to guess about little bit I'm only going to look in once in a while til I can see something more clearly and then I'll go from there.
I know I should be watching constantly but I just can't and like you SGB I'm preparing myself for the worse

If that stupid smear wasn't right smack dab where the center of the nest is!!

I did see one or two of them moving around this morning but haven't looked in since then. The adults were probably too hungry themselves. :(

You can see one little face peering out this morning...

And this is Mom with them now but can't see much ....

This nest is so incredibly stressful to watch. I don't know how you guys do it, but thanks for the updates. Holy cow these poor eagles!!! Wonderful to see all 3 in that snow pile. :loveshow:

I really do not see all 3 ... the 2 big ones are getting fed right now. I think the baby is in the center of the nest and I don't see it moving.

Mom and Dad are both on the nest again tonight looking after their little ones. I think this makes 3 nights in a row the male has slept on the nest. Something I have not seen before that's for sure!

As a side note ...... I think the 2 cams are very out of sync. I just took both of these pics at the same time ... the time stamps are almost a 1/2 hour apart, although I don't know if they ever fixed the time stamp from last year... I know they were messed up. But just looking at the positions of the eagles ... they don't match up.

Edit ... duh ... I think the overhead is frozen.

EDIT AGAIN ... now they just moved!! :girlcrazy:
