Oh that is sad....I wonder what happened? Its not time for a hatch...I guess the egg became damaged and the baby died? :sorrow:

I noticed that the female at Genoa has a very long hook on her upper beak.
Too bad that two eggs are lost now, let's hope the remaining two will be okay.

Nora at RRP got a look at Alma and there are 4 eggs she isn't sure when it was laid

I saw it too, wasn't quick enough to take a screenshot and forgot to post about it. (Had the grandchildren over) Third egg was laid on April 17 so this one probably came on April 19 or 20.

I also didn't see the other egg..so, I don't know if it is still there...

I wish they could/would trap her and file that beak...or maybe they could put a large bone in there with meat on it...see if she'll chew on it to trim that beak...

My hat's off to this mom...I just pray this baby is getting enough to eat...its really hard to tell on a refresh cam. I wish there were someway she could get some help with her beak.

I don't think Greg Septon has any connection with this nest, but I may write him anyway. Maybe he has a counter part in this area..
