Bev...its rain, not snow..very warm here...and we're expecting possible severe weather after 3 am. At best, the nest area may get anywhere from 1/2-1 inch of rain by mid morning.

Thanks for catching the furry intruder..I'm actually recording and watching...but, watching more of the olympics...

I'll post some pics later.

Well, send up some prayers...we are now under tornado watch until 5 am EST

mom eagle seems to sense something , I think. But I think a hatch is near.

Man, you have been having terrible weather.

I will keep cam up for as long as I can but getting weary.

I don't think I'm gonna make it...the line of storms should arrive at the nest between 2:30-3:00 am. They are weakening, slightly, as they are moving into western GA...

I have to go to bed. using toothpicks for my eyes

nest rocking but hopefully all will be well


Rain is starting but if winds are not too bad , there is lots of straw there. Funny how the rain is white like snow.

praing for all the eagles and wildlife there.

Everything looks ok. I haven't seen the eggs yet, but from reading FB posts, both still there and both STILL eggs.

We are day 38 for egg #1 and day 35 for egg #2.

she was turning and looking a lot last night. this is O.K. for the eggs. sometimes they hay ch closer together. We have seen peregrines purposely try to delay hatching of first..

another exchange. Dad comes in and mom eats and leaves . About an hour ago.

Dad got up just a bit ago and flew to branch but now back in nest bowl
edit to add video. I edited quite a bit an d have not previewed so hopefully O.K.

I have a few pictures and small video of mom giving dad a few bites and then he gets out of nest bowl , mom comes in and dad eats.

Dad gets out of bowl but goes back an d turns eggs when mom does not move to go in.

I am constantly amazed by nature. mom feeding dad , so touching.

Day 38 for egg #1
Day 35 for egg #2

I'm starting to get a tad worried...same for Blackwater!!!
