Fish for lunch...and then I lost the cam...and then I had to leave...LOL

Cam is back now.

Apparently, Dad brought in a live Coot for breakfast and it got away...of course, he chased it down and caught it again...eventually brought it back to the nest...and apparently had taken a few bites for himself.

I am soooooooooooooooooooooooooo glad I did not see that!!!

me too SGB. I remember, when Delta ealges brought in a live baby duck and we all cheered when it got away. We know if little ones Jump they can survive.

I love watching here. It also makes me warm and tingly when I see dad come in toward evening and then go up on his branch for the night.

B3 is growing so fast

I didn't see the warning from eaglewhisperer and clicked open video,needless to say your lucky you didn't see it. :sum7:

Yeah...I knew there was a vid...no way I was going near it!!!

Dad and B3

There was a threat near the nest this afternoon...Mom was in full alert and alarm calling like crazy. Another eagle appeared briefly in the approach cam. Could have been dad, could have been another eagle..really too hard to tell. I think it was Dad, chasing whatever was causing mom to freak out. It didn't last long, but dad soon joined mom at the nest and stayed there for quite some time. Mom eventually left and Dad and B3 had some nice alone time..

Needless to say, B3 turned into the flattest eaglet you have ever seen and didn't move a muscle.

the only day I di d not have cam up all day. will od so tomorrow. I love this nest.

Could there have been a critter around , as mom seemed to really be watching the nest on left side as we watch the cam

Bev, it was a flying critter..so, either had to have been the GHO, another eagle, or hawk...

Leftovers for breakfast..

They both have been bringing in new nest materials..

Dad brought in a small stick, that was hung up in his tail...everytime he moved it, it pulled his tail toward his head. I think B3 thought this was quite entertaining..

I think the stick may have gone over the side of the nest..after all of that!!

Its going to be a strange weather day. Rain, on and off, wind gusts this afternoon to 40 mph..and freeze warning tonight..

Major, Major drama at the nest right now. Intruder adult eagle is perched above the nest. Mom has B3 covered and is calling for dad...very, very windy...
